They have maintained their huge popularity and so far, over 2.5 million dolls have been sold worldwide. Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA developed this idea after he watched kids and the popular unboxing trend unfold. Kids seemed to love it, and he wanted to come up with a toy that incorporated multiple layers to for them to open. The doll can then be bathed with water in order to find their surprise water feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">This ball comes in a happy yellow color and it is surrounded with a lot of images of question marks and confetti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Nine Surprises<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0The original L.O.L Surprise dolls had seven surprises this series has added two more. Okay, I admit that since I no longer have young children at home, I did all these steps myself. I like little dolls. Don&#8217;t judge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">First Surprise \u2013 When you unzip the first layer (you\u2019re really ripping the plastic in a way that makes it look as if you\u2019re opening up a zipper), you will see a secret message sticker. That right there is the first clue to which doll is waiting for you. When I open up mine, there is a picture of a flexed arm muscle and a barbell. The caption read, Pumping Iron. Is my doll a weight lifter? Let&#8217;s continue unwrapping.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Second Surprise \u2013 Next, you have emoji-looking stickers that tell you which water feature your doll will have. Water features are what the doll does after immersing in water, things like spitting or crying, color changing etc. Mine has a water drop followed by a question mark, so her water feature will be a surprise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Third Surprise \u2013 Next, you\u2019ll find a ring tattoo that is adorable. On mine, I noticed a soccer ball in the center. Hmm. That\u2019s even more of a clue \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Fourth Surprise \u2013 \u00a0My doll&#8217;s baby bottle. It\u2019s a pink and white \u00a0milk carton that has the words \u201cMissing&#8221; written on it followed by a picture of a kitty with the caption &#8220;have you seen Meow?&#8221; It\u2019s a nice little charm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Fifth Surprise \u2013 The next bag I opened up was a pair of tiny shoes with striped socks.\u00a0This, along with the soccer ball ring seems to definitely indicate that my little doll plays sports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">My sixth surprise \u00a0\u2013 A minuscule pink pacifier!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Seventh Surprise &#8211;\u00a0An adorable pink striped uniform with ruffled edges.\u00a0Okay, I&#8217;m 100% \u00a0certain that my doll plays baseball.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Eighth Surprise &#8211;\u00a0Finally, here we are, at the grand finale! Find the ribbon and pull it. Yep! Perfect for a tiny baseball player. Turns out her water feature is color changer and when her dark hair is submerged in water it changes into a light red color.
