Spin Master Boxer Robot
What are robots anyway? We tend to think of giant machines that build things, and robots we see in movies that are way too advanced to be real. But there are tons of items that we incorporate into our lives every day and probably don’t even think about the fact that they are all actually robots – everything from pool vacuums to toys for our children. Today’s teachers are using robotics in their classroom more and more to teach their students and I it is easy to understand why. Robots are a great way to capture children’s attention and teach them. The robots that are being used in classrooms may not shoot lasers, but they are quickly gaining popularity and a great tool to use. On another note, robotics can be a fun way to push your children towards STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) subjects. There is a new robot coming out this year that kids will really like called the Boxer Robot.
Boxer Robot from Spin Master
Boxer is a robot with a great personality. He is actually adorable. He has sensors on his sides, so you can put him in “follow me” mode and he will actually follow the movement of your fingers. You can even make him dance.
Along with that nifty feature, he does also come with a remote control that will allow you to drive him around, or race against your friends. As many as three of these robots will be able to race and interact together.
Games
The robots also have 10 different games that you can play. One of the games involve battling each other, which is neat. There’s also a tank game where they kind of shoot at each other using the trick shots that are on the remote. If one gets hit, it’ll fall over, which is an indicator that it has been hit.
The games can be activated by using the bar codes on the included game activation card. Place the card on the table with the little robot in front of it. The bot will automatically scan over it and activate the game by itself.
Tricks
Your kids are going to get a kick out of watching him do some really cool tricks. Boxer does wheelies and also plays with it’s own soccer ball. If you are so unkind as to pick him up and shake him, he will get very dizzy, which becomes obvious when you set him back down and he tries to throw up!
Conclusion
The Boxer Robot would be a great choice for a cool robot that kids can creatively play with. Boxer will be launching during the fall of 2018 and I for one, can’t wait.
