Lego Star Wars Yoda’s Hut

Last year  we were introduced to new exciting toys such as Anovos’ Star Wars Helmets and Armor and Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi Figures and Accessories, plus a lot more cool Star Wars merchandise and as with anything Star Wars related, they were a hit. Now, this year, 2018,  we are looking forward to the release of the Lego Star Wars Yoda’s Hut, and if you are a fan of Yoda like me, then you will want to read on.

Years ago, the first version of Yoda’s Hut was released as part of an X-Wing set. That 2004 version was actually a bit different from this second one which is a major upgrade from the original.

Ages

Although Lego Star Wars Yoda’s Hut is recommended for the ages 7 to 12. I think Star Wars Toys are ageless and I actually wouldn’t mind having this set.

What is included

There are a total of 229 pieces in this set. There are three mini figures – Yoda, Luke Skywalker and naturally, R2D2.

I love the Yoda figure and with the bit of gray hair printed on his head and the nicely shaped  ears, he really does look like Yoda. His ears have a rubbery feel to them, so they’re unlikely to break off, like plastic figures are prone to do.

Only seen once, back in 2004, has the Luke Skywalker figure been seen. It looks way better than it looked way back then. He comes with a printed torso that makes him stand out and a backpack contraption that allows him to carry Yoda. It is designed so that Yoda can ride on top of him.

The R2D2 figurine has an interesting look to him – I really like all of the dirt that they splashed around the figure those barren planets are dusty! R2D2 is certainly a great addition to the set. If you pick the set up, you’ll see for yourself. Also included is a red snake (because you often need a red snake) that can behave like a little monster.

The set is not difficult to assemble which is probably why it’s recommended for ages 7-12. There’s a neat little launch pad feature, but it is not exactly as touted on the back of the box because it’s hard for the figure to get much leverage on it. He  will not fly though the air like the box shows, but he will launch just a  bit.

Conclusion

So I would say that if you have or are a child between the ages of 7-80 that is into Star Wars,  I would highly recommend Lego Star Wars Yoda Hut. This versatile set filled with favorite characters will become an instant favorite.
