L.O.L. Surprise Confetti Pops

In 2016, when L.O.L Surprise Confetti Pop first appeared, they were an instant hit. They have maintained their huge popularity and so far, over 2.5 million dolls have been sold worldwide. Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA developed this idea after he watched kids and the popular unboxing trend unfold. Kids seemed to love it, and he wanted to come up with a toy that incorporated multiple layers to for them to open. Series 4  will not make its way to stores until December 2018 so for now, let’s take a look at the super popular series 3 of L.O.L Surprise.

What is L.O.L Surprise Confetti Pop?

L.O.L Surprise Confetti Pop is a plastic ball that is the size of your hand. wrapped in several layers of packaging, each one providing a clue as to which of 35 dolls your child will discover inside the ball at the end of the unwrapping sequence. The doll can then be bathed with water in order to find their surprise water feature.

This ball comes in a happy yellow color and it is surrounded with a lot of images of question marks and confetti.

Nine Surprises

 The original L.O.L Surprise dolls had seven surprises this series has added two more. So now there are a total of nine surprises for the children to discover which makes the unboxing more fun than ever.

A Hint

With each surprise that leads up to the doll, the one unboxing this item is going to receive a hint at which doll is waiting for them at the end. Okay, I admit that since I no longer have young children at home, I did all these steps myself. I like little dolls. Don’t judge.

First Surprise – When you unzip the first layer (you’re really ripping the plastic in a way that makes it look as if you’re opening up a zipper), you will see a secret message sticker. That right there is the first clue to which doll is waiting for you. When I open up mine, there is a picture of a flexed arm muscle and a barbell. The caption read, Pumping Iron. Is my doll a weight lifter? Let’s continue unwrapping.

Second Surprise – Next, you have emoji-looking stickers that tell you which water feature your doll will have. Water features are what the doll does after immersing in water, things like spitting or crying, color changing etc. Mine has a water drop followed by a question mark, so her water feature will be a surprise.

Third Surprise – Next, you’ll find a ring tattoo that is adorable. On mine, I noticed a soccer ball in the center. Hmm. That’s even more of a clue …

Fourth Surprise –  My doll’s baby bottle. It’s a pink and white  milk carton that has the words “Missing” written on it followed by a picture of a kitty with the caption “have you seen Meow?” It’s a nice little charm.

Fifth Surprise – The next bag I opened up was a pair of tiny shoes with striped socks. This, along with the soccer ball ring seems to definitely indicate that my little doll plays sports. 

My sixth surprise  – A minuscule pink pacifier!

Seventh Surprise – An adorable pink striped uniform with ruffled edges. Okay, I’m 100%  certain that my doll plays baseball.

Eighth Surprise – Finally, here we are, at the grand finale! Find the ribbon and pull it. Yep! A cute little pink baseball cap popped out. 

Ninth Surprise –  Along with that popped out my surprise doll.In my case, her name is Shortstop. Perfect for a tiny baseball player. Turns out her water feature is color changer and when her dark hair is submerged in water it changes into a light red color. So cool.

Conclusion

So there it is – go ahead, collect them all because you’re going to want to add them all to your collection. In total, there are over 35 dolls to collect.
