Gross Gummy Candy Lab

I remember as, having a chemistry set. It was exciting to be able to impress your friends and family with such things as exploding volcanos or amazing magnetic experiments. What would have been really cool is a kit that made edible creatures like this Gross Gummy Candy Lab by Geek & Co. that is set to come out later in 2018.

What is the Science Behind Gross Gummy Candy Lab

With this creepily fun lab, your child will be able to make some really gross looking gummy worms and spiders, which can actually be eaten, (if you have a strong stomach) and they taste delicious.

Natural Edible Ingredient

The edible base product in your kit is a natural gelatin-like ingredient called carrageenan. This is a perfectly safe to ingest substance which, interestingly enough, is extracted from seaweed.

The Flavors

You can flavor the mixture with the sweet green apple and mixed berry flavors that are included. Mix it up, pour it into the mold which comes with the kit and make your own gummy spiders and worms. If you would prefer sour gummies, you can add in some citric acid.

What age is Candy Lab for?

Children ages 6 and up will enjoy this Gummy Lab and may be the first step into an interest in other science experiment kits. Ant farms and exploding volcanos may be in their future.

Conclusion

I think kids will love this, It is a fun little kit, it teaches a bit about the science of polymers and in the end, they get to eat a treat that they created themselves. What could be better?
