What are Pomsies?
Skyrocket toy company patterned their Pomsies pets after the popular pom-poms that have become so trendy. Girls wear them in their hair, on their shoes, decorate their backpacks and clothes with them and now, with Pomsies, they can wrap its long wired tail around their wrists like a bracelet, ponytails, and wherever else creativity takes them. What could be more perfect than a wearable and fashionable, not to mention adorable, little pom-pom pet?
Ways to Play
To turn on your Pomsie, all it takes is a push of its little button nose. You can activate one of two modes of play, virtual pet mode or freeze dance mode.
To go into freeze dance mode, hold her nose down and you’ll hear a whistle. She will start to play a song and you will need to go along with the beat – she will start to “meow” faster and faster. When she whistles stop, this means it’s time to freeze.
3 Motion Sensors
On her face, there’s a total of three motion sensors, located on her nose, her mouth and on top of her head. Your Pomsie has a variety of cute sounds that are activated by your interaction with her.
Changing Eye Color
There’s a “road map” on the package that you can use in order to determine what she is feeling based on the color of her eyes. For example if she’s happy, her eyes will turn blue and she will begin to vibrate and purr, and this sounds exactly like a live cat purring.
If her eyes turn yellow, this is means that she is hungry. When that is the case, in order to feed her, you will need to rub her mouth.
She will show her appreciation after you spend time taking care of her. Her eyes will turn rainbow-colored, which means she is contented and happy that you love and care for her..
Conclusion
During the summer of 2018, there will be a total of six different Pomsie toys coming out, so a fun mixture of colors and personalities to choose from. They do require one easily replaceable AAA battery. I think your child will adore spending time caring for this virtual pet.
