Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown- LEGO

Sanctum Sanctorum

Great news! Along with the 2018 Marvel movie, Avengers Infinity War comes a fun new Marvel Super Heroes set to tie in with it. Welcome to LEGO Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown.

About the Building Set

This large set includes just over 1,000 pieces to build a New York City building that accommodates some favorite characters, Dr Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, Spiderman or Peter Parker’s apartment and Pepe’s Pizzeria. It also comes with four minifigures but more about those later.

The building itself is hinged which makes it great for playing and display. As a result, you can either form the building flat, in an L shape or closed so that the Sanctum Sanctorum is back to back with Peter Parker’s Apartment and the Pizza restaurant.

Included on the outside of the building is a side street with some cool Spiderman details such as a web that can be grabbed by a figure that knocks a window out. There is also an operable fire escape that can be raised and lowered.

You will find that the roof features a water tower and button function. You can attach a winch to a minifigure and lower it to the sidewalk.

Sanctum Sanctorum

Sanctum Sanctorum is a three level building where Doctor Strange hangs out and it is full of neat little details including a chest that opens to reveal assorted weapons. a bookcase that holds a hidden Infinity Stone and an exploding wall feature. There are extra Infinity Stones, just in case you lose one.

Peter Parker’s Apartment

When not out fighting crime as Spiderman, Peter Parker spends his time in this apartment, which includes his bedroom area and a fully detailed office. Peter’s bedroom has a trap door and of course, the ever popular exploding window function.

Pepe’s Pizzeria

Conveniently beneath Peter Parker’s apartment is Pepe’s Pizzeria restaurant. It includes a pizza oven and a build able Shawarma station and lots of other restaurant accessories. And again, you guessed it. This one has an exploding window as well.

5 Minifigures Included

Dr Strange – is a well detailed figure and does a good job of resembling the character from the movies and comic book. He is wearing his cloak of levitation and has the trademark white streaks in his hair

Iron Spider – has a sharply Printed costume and is a new look for the Avengers Infinity War Movie with this gift from Tony Stark. As a result it makes him look a lot more spider like! He also comes with a power blast weapon.

Iron Man – the Iron Man MK48 costume has a different look from previous versions but we really like it. His visor can be removed completely or lifted to reveal the face of Tony Stark.

Ebony Maw – the first of the two villains included in this set. Ebony Maw is an alien and one of the Black Order. We don’t want to give away too many spoilers so watch the film to find out more. LEGO has recreated him pretty well as a minifigure for this set. Ebony also has a Power Blast weapon, like Iron Spiderman.

Cull Obsidian – another Black Order villain. Cuu=ll is a menacing looking mini figure carrying dual hammers. In the comics this evil character has fought with the Guardians of the Galaxy and Black Panther.

Conclusion</3>

Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown would make a fun set to display or play with. This is a set that contains a good degree of functionality and detailed accessories. As a result, your kids will have hours of entertainment. Way to go, LEGO!
